that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Happy Friday!

The weekend is finally here and it is the most wonderful time of the year. I am praying that you get everything done you need to do this weekend, have more than enough time to rest, and have an amazing time enjoying this season. Have you started making your list yet?

Galatians 5:22-23 list the fruit of the Spirit. When you were born again, God placed all of the fruit in your spirit. Patience is the fourth fruit listed of the fruit of the Spirit. This means that patience actually lives inside of you!

Since patience lives inside of you, you have all you need to become a patient person. I have heard some people are afraid to pray for patience because they believe God will cause something bad to happen to help them learn patience. That’s not how our Good Heavenly Father operates! Also, let’s be real. You have enough situations in your life right now that you use to help you develop patience.

I have learned that if I want spiritual truths to work for me, I have to identify with them through the words of my mouth. It is the same for you. Patience lives within you, but you have to talk like it does. Instead of saying that you are impatient and always lose your temper, regularly say, “I am a patient person because patience lives within me.” As you continually do this and choose to be patient, you will develop the fruit within you! It will become your superpower.

Choose to be patient today in the small things and the big things. Remember, it takes faith and patience to receive the promises of God. I share about this and more in today’s podcast. Pray this prayer with me today, “Father, thank you for loving me. Your love lives within me. Thank you for loving me so much that you want to help and fix things in my life. As I make my list, help me to focus and grant me ears to hear what you have to say about these areas. Thank you for placing patience within me. Show me the areas that I need to adjust and the habits I need to change. I receive your help, wisdom, and strength. Thank you for leading me and guiding me! Thank you for being with me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
