Today’s Scripture 🍞

Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away." 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. 23 "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive [them], and you will have [them].

Today’s Devotional 📖

Happy Giving Tuesday!

I hope you are having a great start to your week. If you missed yesterday’s newsletter and podcast, you need to spend some time today going through it and making the list described in yesterday’s publications. This list will help you finish this year strong and set you up for success in 2026.

Today is Giving Tuesday! On this day, many people look for organizations to support. There are times where people ask how they can support Faith In The Morning. Instead of specifically supporting Faith In The Morning this year, I would like you to consider supporting our church, Faith Christian Center.

This week, our church family is preparing for Giving Sunday where we give to save, sow, and grow. For our church family, this is an annual event where we give over and above our normal amounts to the three categories of save, sow, and grow. This year, in our grow category we are continuing to build Faith Park - the land in front of our sanctuary. This past year, we re-sodded 33,000 square feet and installed trees, flowers, and shrubbery. Next year, we plan to install a fountain gathering area, a gazebo, and a sign seating area. We believe this park enhances what we will be able to provide for the Faith Family and our surrounding community.

In our sow category, we are continuing and increasing our partnerships with local organizations that fight food insecurity and help people escape generational poverty, helping even more ministries take the Gospel throughout the world, and supporting various mission-related projects in other countries.

The save category is dedicated to strengthening the position of the church for future projects, opportunities, and endeavors as God opens the door for them. If you would like to partner with our congregation by giving toward these categories, click here, and select “offering” in the drop down box. Thank you for your generosity!

Let’s dive into today’s devotional! As you go throughout 2026, you will need to develop a confident heart. 1st John shares important information about the condition of our heart and how it can become confident. 1st John 3:20-22 says, “For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.”

When you develop the list we covered yesterday, you need to also develop a confident heart. A confident heart is key to receiving from God. I love how this Scripture reveals that it is our heart that condemns us - not God. God is greater than our heart.

As you have heard me share many times last month, when we mess up, we don’t condemn ourselves, we make the necessary adjustments. What do we do when our heart condemns us? We repent and ask for forgiveness as described in 1st John 1:9.

I truly believe that 2026 will be a year where we see God fix things in our lives, communities, and all around the world. It is going to be an epic year. We need to live with a confident heart towards God. It is key for our future. I share about this and more regarding Giving Tuesday in today’s podcast. Listen to it and share it with others. Also, take time to work on your list today. Tomorrow, I will be sharing another important element that will be crucial for your list and your 2026. We are going to finish this year strong and have an even better 2026.

I’m praying for you! Below, you will find a prayer for today, our Faith+ Bible Reading plan, encouraging resources, my recommended holiday reading list, and today’s poll. Check it out! Have a great day!
