Welcome to December!

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and wonderful holiday week! December is finally here! During this month, many people make lists. Kids make Christmas lists and some people make goal lists for the upcoming year. Today, I want to share with you a list you need to make this month to set you up for 2026.

I truly believe that 2026 will be a year where we see God fix things in our lives, communities, and all around the world. It is going to be an epic year. I love when God gives us words about the coming year because it helps us stay focused and encouraged throughout the year. With what I sense the Spirit of God saying about 2026, I want to encourage you to write your list.

What type of list? I want you to write a list of the things that you want to see God fix in your life in 2026. Now, this isn’t just “spiritual things.” Think about every area of your life - spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, social, financial, career, and more. Take time to reflect and write out your list.

Once you finish your list, you are not ready to pray about those things yet. After you finish the list, I want you to re-write your list leaving several lines of space between each thing that you want God to fix. Over the next few days, I want you to search the Bible for Scriptures where God promises His help in those areas that you want Him to fix. Write those Scriptures in the blank space.

After you finish the second list, take time daily to go over those Scriptures. I truly believe as you do so you will see God move in those areas of your life even before 2026 arrives. After you take time to go over the Scriptures pray about those things on the list. Remember, prayer is not complete until you take time to listen. When God speaks to you concerning that area you want Him to fix, write down what He says to you.

God is not Santa Claus or a genie. However, He does want to move greatly in your life and answer your prayers because He loves you. In order to see God’s wisdom and power at work in those areas that you need fixed, you have to listen to what God says about those areas and follow His instructions. I share more about this in today’s podcast. Listen to it and share it with others. We are going to finish this year strong and have an even better 2026.

Pray this prayer with me today, “Father, thank you for loving me. Your love lives within me. Thank you for loving me so much that you want to help and fix things in my life. As I make my list, help me to focus and grant me ears to hear what you have to say about these areas. Show me the areas that I need to adjust and the habits I need to change. I receive your help, wisdom, and strength. Thank you for leading me and guiding me! Thank you for being with me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
