As we conclude our special time of prayer this week, I want to encourage you to put into practice the things you have learned. We are to take our place in prayer with gratitude, boldness, and expectation. True and lasting change happens as we continually take our place in prayer.
Colossians 3:1-3 (MSG) says, “So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.”
I love that phrase - “that’s where the action is.” The action is around Christ. The action around Christ isn’t meant to stay in Heaven. It’s meant to impact and influence every area of your life. As you begin to “See things from His perspective,” you’ll understand how your prayer life opens the door for Heaven to move on the earth. In today’s podcast devotional, I share more about adopting this perspective. Stream it and share it with others. Here are the prayer points we are praying over this week:
The Five Prayer Points
The Election - For the elected candidates to yield to the plan of God
The Plan & Path - "Lord, what is your plan for my family and I for 2027? What goals should I set for the year?"
The Key Issue - "What is the key issue where I am concerned? What is the main thing I need to change, focus on, or correct in 2027?"
Giving Sunday - "What is my part of the Giving Sunday offering?"
