Vision is important to being able to live the lifestyle of faith. God has put a dream in your heart that He wants to see come to pass in this earth. It’s part of His vision for your life. It’s not automatic. It is partnership between you and God.

When you have a vision for your life, you will operate in greater self-control. Today’s Scripture plainly declares that where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint. Here’s a simple example. If you have a vision for your fitness, you can tell the apple pie, “No.” You’ll decide to have grilled chicken over fried chicken. Why? You can see yourself fit. With that vision in mind, you make certain fitness goals you want to reach and you understand that you have to make choices that line up with your vision.

This principle works in every area of your life. Embracing God’s vision for your life is not the final step. It is merely the beginning. When you first get a hold of the vision, it’s vague. It cannot stay there because vague vision produces vague results. Once you get a hold of the vision, you have to research it, pray about it, meditate on it, and write it out. As you walk out God’s vision for your life, it will become clearer, more defined, and even grander.

Today, pray the daily prayer for 2026 knowing that God has a vision for your life. If you answered, “No” in the poll above, I am praying for you to grow in clarity concerning your God-given vision. After you pray the daily prayer, pause and take time to listen. Always remember, prayer is not complete until you take time to listen.
