Today’s Scripture 🍞

But Barnabas took him and brought [him] to the apostles. And he declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that He had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.

Acts 9:27 (NKJV)

Today’s Devotional 📖

Good Morning,

“Pay attention to the desert.”

Sound strange? That statement rose in my heart while I was considering a matter at the end of last year. After hearing that statement, the Lord began to deal with my heart concerning what the statement meant.

Did you know Moses was positioned by God to deliver the Israelites before he fled to the desert? When Stephen preached in the Book of Acts, he shared how Moses was mighty in word and deed before he fled. In fact, when Moses killed the Egyptian he thought the Israelites would understand that God was using him to deliver them. Moses knew his call. However, he went about it the wrong way. The result? He fled to the desert and stayed their for 40 years until God called him out.

Do you feel like Moses? Like you messed up God’s Plan A? Don’t fear. God still has a wonderful plan for your life. I believe this year will see many people returning from the “deserts of life” to step into the positions God has prepared for them.

If you feel like you are in the desert, (let me know above) I am praying for you. Over the next few podcasts and newsletters, I will share specific encouragement for you. If you know someone in the desert, I want to share with you how God has called us to be like Aquila, Priscilla, and Barnabas in this season.

Today, pray the daily prayer for 2026 knowing that God wants to give you wisdom and that He has a wonderful plan for your life. After you pray this prayer, pause and take time to listen. Always remember, prayer is not complete until you take time to listen.

In today’s podcast, I share more concerning what God shared with me about the desert. Take five minutes and stream it today.
