Happy Tuesday!

Let’s jump into today’s devotional. Over the last few weeks, we have been looking into blessing in Numbers 6. The blessing included a declaration of favor which said, “The LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you.” (Numbers 6:25) To be gracious means to show favor.

The blessing continued with the declaration of “The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace." (Numbers 6:26 NKJV). Countenance is someone’s face or facial expression. Two major aspects of this blessing deal with how God looks at His people.

It is a positive look and outlook. The NLT says it this way, “May the LORD bless you and protect you. 25 May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. 26 May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.”

My friend, God is smiling at you. You might say, “I messed up. Why would He smile at me?” Remember, what we covered yesterday in “You Are Not Forsaken.” Whenever you mess up, be quick to repent and follow the instructions of 1st John 1:9. Acknowledge what you did wrong, ask God to forgive you, and He will forgive you! God is not looking to harm you; He is looking to bless you!

Today, live with the confidence that God is smiling at you. Pray like God is smiling at you. Think like God is smiling at you. Plan like God is smiling at you. Dream and work like God is smiling at you. Love and be a blessing to others like God is smiling at you.

I am the salt of the earth. I am the light of this world. Jesus said it so I believe it. I am a carrier of the Glory of God. Today, I will experience the extreme goodness of God. Today, I make myself available for God to show His goodness to others through me.  Today, I am increasing in influence. Today, I will see the goodness of God in my life! Today, something good is going to happen to me so I expect miracles.
