When it was time to leave, they returned to their own country by another route, for God had warned them in a dream not to return to Herod. After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up! Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother," the angel said. "Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him." That night Joseph left for Egypt with the child and Mary, his mother, and they stayed there until Herod's death. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: "I called my Son out of Egypt."

Good Morning,

Something good is going to happen to you today! In John 16:13, Jesus said, “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” (NKJV)

Part of the leading of the Holy Spirit includes warning us of dangers ahead. Mary, Joseph, and the Magi heeded the warning of the Lord. How do you respond when the Lord lets you know that danger is ahead?

As I shared yesterday, the Holy Spirit will lead you through a still small voice in your heart, through peace in your heart, through an inner knowing, and through the inward witness. These ways may not seem as spectacular as a star, a vision, or an angelic visitation but they are just as supernatural.

We have to learn not to overrule the leading of the Spirit in our hearts. We’ve all heard people say after something bad happens, “Something told me not to go there. Something told me not to do that.” It was a something, it was a Someone! It was the Holy Spirit speaking to that person’s spirit.

When you feel that inner “check” or uneasiness that something is wrong, pause. Don’t proceed with your current plan. Inwardly, turn to the Lord and ask Him what to do. It is vitally important that we yield to the leading of the Spirit of God.
