You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip [with] abundance.

Good Morning,

Happy Monday! As we embark on the first full week of 2026, I want you to know that God has surrounded your year with goodness! That’s what the word “crown” in the passage above means. Your year is surrounded with goodness.

January is surrounded, February is surrounded, March is surrounded, every month, every week, and every day is surrounded with His goodness. There are times where we walk through seasons and situations that seem to indicate we are surrounded by trouble. However as today’s Scripture reveals and tomorrow’s devotional will show, you are actually surrounded by God’s goodness, help, and provision.

Instead of focusing on your problems and continually running a negative narrative in your head, I want you to think about the goodness of God. Change the narrative to one of hope and expectation of God’s goodness. In fact, the Psalmist said that he would have fainted and given up if he didn’t expect to see God’s goodness. (Psalm 27:13) Your expectation strengthens you and positions you to receive all the overflowing goodness God has made available for you. Our Faith in the Morning affirmation (located below) is a statement of expectation of God’s wonderful goodness. Today, take time to say it.

We can increase our insight and access this wonderful goodness by living in God’s wisdom. Here is a prayer for you to pray everyday in 2026. It’s a prayer to help you receive and live by God’s wisdom. I encourage you - pray it every day this year.
