My Thanksgiving Habit

Happy Monday!

This is going to be a great week for you! Whether you are at work, travelling, or spending time with family, I believe God has good things planned for you! As we get closer to Thanksgiving, more and more people will share what they are thankful for and will begin to reflect on their year.

Although we should be thankful everyday, it’s not a bad thing to have marked days where we reflect and give thanks. Years ago, I started using the Thanksgiving holiday as my time to reflect on my year and specifically look at what God did that year in my life. I wouldn’t just be thankful for the general things, but I would give thanks for specific things. I want to encourage you to do the same. Reflect over 2023. What is something specific that God did for you? Thank God for it with an honest, grateful heart. Tell God how much that meant to you and offer Him thanks. God loves when His kids tell Him, “thank you.” Remember, the Psalms tells us that He inhabits the praises of His people. (Psalm 22:3). Be specific with your thanks and watch what happens in your heart and your life.

One of the others things I enjoy about Thanksgiving is…you guessed it…the food. Do you have a favorite Thanksgiving food that you look forward to? Let me know in the poll below. Take a few minutes to stream today’s Faith in the Morning. If you are travelling to see family this week, I encourage you to pray for them, your trip, and over all of your holiday activities. Want to know how to effectively pray for your family and loved ones? Listen to this message.

Have a great day!
