But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Good Morning,

Happy Tuesday! As I was recording today’s podcast, I kept sensing the Spirit’s leading to focus on this one particular point. We are to reflect over our lives to make adjustments, not to condemn ourselves. Stop beating yourself up! It’s won’t help you live right.

Living right is a byproduct of the work of the Spirit in our lives. He is continually and constantly working with us, in us, and through us. Condemnation is not one of His tools. He convicts us; He doesn’t condemn us. Remember Romans 8:1 says, “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” (NLT)

God wants us filled to overflowing with every good thing - especially the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Beating yourself up won’t help you get there. Believing that God has forgiven you, developing a prayer life, reading God’s Word daily, staying involved at church, reading devotionals like this one, listening to faith building broadcasts, and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you will help you get to the place where you are overflowing with every good thing. As you reflect over your life using the fruit of the Spirit as your mirror, identify areas you need to grow. Don’t condemn yourself! Just make adjustments. The Spirit of God will help you!
