Today’s Devotional 📖

Good Morning,

In my walk with God, I’ve learned this important principle - I sow the “I don’t know." What do I mean by that? As we journey through life, we all encounter circumstances that we struggle to comprehend why it happened to us or someone we knew.

Never allow your experience or someone else’s to become your doctrine. Your doctrine - the teaching and understanding you build your life upon - must solely come from God’s Word and who you are in Christ as a New Testament believer. I've seen situations where people stop believing in a truth of God’s Word because of something that happened to them, someone they knew, or even a story they heard about someone they didn’t even know!

Deuteronomy 29:29 says, “The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

First, there are things that happen in other people’s lives that are actually none of our business. We may ask God what happened with "so and so”, but He may not tell us what or why. Why? It’s not our business. It will remain a secret. If it is for us to know, He will teach us as we grow and remain humble before Him. He will continually reveal the things to us we need to know as we walk with Him.

Humility is submitting yourself to God's Word and not allowing experience or other things to dominate your beliefs and decisions. You can trust Him and His Word. What about when negative things happened and you know you did all you knew to do? I address part of that answer in today’s podcast devotional. You can “sow” a past negative situation and have a far brighter future.

Today, pray the daily prayer for 2026 and know that God loves you and His plan for your life is good. After you pray the daily prayer, pause and take time to listen. Always remember, prayer is not complete until you take time to listen.

In today’s podcast, I lead you in a prayer that helps you “sow the I don’t know”. Take the time and stream it today. If you’re reading through the Bible with us this year, your chapter reminders are below. If you want a pdf print out of the plan, click here. Stream today’s podcast and share it with others.
