Happy Monday!

Let’s get into today’s devotional. Luke 2:52 (NLT) says, “Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.” As we covered before, Jesus grew in favor. The Scripture says that Samuel grew in favor as well. This lets me know that there are levels of favor to grow into and experience.

Psalms 5:11-12 (NKJV) says, “But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as [with] a shield.” Notice, favor is a blessing from God! The favor of God defends us and advances us in the purposes of God for our life. The favor of God also creates wonderful situations for us to experience and to enjoy.

To be favored means to be regarded or treated with favor specifically provided with advantages. It also means to be specially privileged. That is what God has in store for you today and in September!

I am the salt of the earth. I am the light of this world. Jesus said it so I believe it. I am a carrier of the Glory of God. Today, I will experience the extreme goodness of God. Today, I make myself available for God to show His goodness to others through me.  Today, I am increasing in influence. Today, I will see the goodness of God in my life! Today, something good is going to happen to me so I expect miracles.
