Happy Thursday!
Your prayer life really matters! This week, in our 21 Days of Prayer, I have been answering questions I received about prayer. One question was, “Why should I pray if there is nothing going on in my life that needs prayer?”
It’s a great question. Let’s look at 1Thessalonians 5:17 (NIV). The short and powerful verse says, “pray continually.” That’s it. Pray continually.
Well, why and how should we pray continually if there is nothing in our lives that need prayer at the moment? There is a side of prayer where you are communicating with God and there is a side of prayer where you are partnering with God. There is also a part of prayer where you are fellowshipping with God and enjoying His presence. When we fellowship with God in prayer, we are growing in our relationship with Him. Daily prayer shouldn’t be a chore, but a delight that we look forward to. How can that happen? That is what we cover in today’s devotional podcast.
In addition to these newsletters, I’ve also created a 21 Days Of Prayer Guide for you as well. This guide examines the life of Daniel and shares Scriptural wisdom to help you take your prayer life to the next level. Follow along with us over the next few weeks.
I am praying for you! Remember to pray the daily prayer for 2026. After you pray the daily prayer, as I shared above, pause and take time to listen. Always remember, prayer is not complete until you take time to listen.
We are reading through the Bible this year. Today’s reading plan is located at the bottom of this newsletter. If you want a pdf print out of the plan, click here.
