If You Know You Know
Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand. Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
Psalm 20:6-7 (NKJV)
Good Morning!
You are anointed whether you know it our not. Psalm 20 is one of the instances of King David referring to himself as God’s anointed. David saw himself as the Lord’s anointed and you need to see yourself in the same way. Notice what David communicated in this Psalm, “Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed…” He learned that truth through experience.
Although David learned that truth from experience, you can learn that truth and more about God’s character from His Word. Romans 10:17 teaches us that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Find promises in the Word of God that pertain to the challenge that you are facing. When you continually read aloud those promises, faith will build in your heart. As faith builds in your heart, you won’t have to learn through experience. Without the previous experience, you will have the confidence to step out and be used greatly by God.
As I shared yesterday, acknowledge the anointing upon your life simply by saying, “I am anointed.” To add specificity to this affirmation, you can add what God has anointed you to do. Make acknowledging the anointing upon your life part of your morning routine. Spend time going over the promises of God concerning the challenge you are facing and the call of God upon your life. As you do these things, you will grow in confidence concerning the anointing God has placed upon your life.
Pray this prayer with me, “Father, I thank you for loving me and for being with me. I make myself available for you to be good to others through me. I thank you for anointing me. Help me to see myself as your anointed and help me to continually grow in confidence concerning the anointing upon my life. Thank you for being so good to me! In Jesus’ name, amen.”
