Today’s Scripture 🍞
“Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.”
Matthew 4:1 NKJV
Today’s Devotional 📖
Happy Tuesday,
I hope you had a great holiday weekend. If you are going to succeed in 2026, you will have to successfully deal with temptation. First thing I want you to realize today is that being tempted is not a sin.
In Matthew 4, Jesus was tempted by the enemy. The Scripture says He was tempted in all areas, but He never sinned. Being tempted is not a sin. How did Jesus defeat the temptation? He resisted the devil by decreeing what was written in God’s Word. You have to know the Word to resist the enemy. This is one of the reasons why being in the Word daily is vitally important. Remember, when you resist the enemy - he will flee. Resist until he runs from you in stark terror. (James 4:7)
Today, pray the daily prayer for 2026 knowing that God wants to give you wisdom and help you resist the enemy. After you pray this prayer, pause and take time to listen. Always remember, prayer is not complete until you take time to listen.
In today’s podcast, I share more about how Jesus resisted the enemy. If you’re reading through the Bible with us this year, your chapter reminders are below. If you want a pdf print out of the plan, click here. Stream today’s podcast and share it with others. I’m praying for you!
