Psalm 5:11-12 (NKJV) says, “But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. 12 For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as [with] a shield.”
We shout for joy because God defends us. We are joyful because God blesses us with favor as a shield. There is a connection between the favor of God and happiness and joy. God wants us to be happy and joyful.
As you have heard me say before, God wants us to have a lifetime of favor, not just moments of favor. In fact, Psalms 30:4-5 (NKJV) says, “Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger [is but for] a moment, His favor [is for] life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy [comes] in the morning.”
His favor is for a lifetime and His favor can change your life. In today’s podcast, I share more about God’s favor and how it is meant to continually increase.
