Faith In The Morning Daily Affirmation 🌅

I am the salt of the earth. I am the light of this world. Jesus said it so I believe it. I am a carrier of the Glory of God. Today, I will experience the extreme goodness of God. Today, I make myself available for God to show His goodness to others through me.  Today, I am increasing in influence. Today, I will see the goodness of God in my life! Today, something good is going to happen to me so I expect miracles. 

Today’s Devotional 📖

Good Morning,

James 3:2-4 (NKJV), says, “For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he [is] a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. 3 Indeed, we put bits in horses' mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.”

In this passage, James compares our tongues and words to a captain turning the wheel to steer the ship. The captain can steer the boat wherever he chooses. He can take it to a great destination or he could steer it into the rocks and danger. What happens if he crashes his boat? More than likely, it would sink.

Many people are living a “sunken life” because of the words of their mouth. Their words caused them to crash and sink. However, I believe in the resurrecting power of God that can uplift your life and bring you to a place of restoration. As God restores you, you have to make a quality decision to not keeping sinking your life.

As I shared yesterday, a quality decision is a decision that is backed up habit forming daily decisions. It’s good to speak God’s Word about your situation once. However, if you want to experience real life change, you need to say it every day and refuse to allow the enemy to influence your words. Daily speaking God’s promises helps you train your tongue to speak only what you should about a situation.

It takes time and consistent effort to train your tongue and change the way you speak. Don’t be discouraged because you didn’t change over night. It takes time to cause a big ship to turn. Make sure you put the time in by daily speaking God’s promises and affirmations based on His Word.

Pray this prayer with me today, “Father, thank you for loving me. This will be an amazing month for me. I ask for your help and your wisdom. I thank you that you never leave me nor forsake me. I thank you that you hear and answer prayer. You are the strength of my life and I will live confidently in you. Help me steer my life in the right direction. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
