Don't Lose Your Song
Your song is an important indicator in your life. Don't lose it! Read today's newsletter to find out more and start your day with faith and encouragement.
So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.

Today’s Devotional 📖
Good Morning,
God has a new season for you! As Daniel declared in his prayer of praise in Daniel 2, God changes the times and the seasons. Over the last two months at Faith Christian Center, I have been sharing about the new season we have entered. This is not a new season that begins on January 1st. It’s already begun and God has wonderful plans for you!
You might be asking, “What does my song have to do with my new season?” Your song is an indicator of where you are spiritually. Ephesians 5:18-20 says, “Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
In the Book of Acts, when a person was baptized in the Holy Spirit, they spoke in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2:1-4). As you read through Acts, you realize there is one baptism of the Spirit, but many refillings of the Spirit. In the Greek, you can translate the Ephesians 5 phrase “be filled” as “be being filled.” Just because a person was filled one day, it doesn’t mean they are filled the next.
It’s similar to our cars. We have to put fuel in our cars knowing that one day we will have to fill it up again. Similarly, we have to check the tank of our heart. Our cars have a flashing light when we are running low on fuel. When our heart is running low, we lose our song. If you find yourself always complaining and whining, you are running on empty. What is the sign of being full? Speaking to yourself in “psalms, hymns, spiritual songs" and “making music to the Lord in your heart.”
Today, take time to pray. Remember, prayer is not complete until you take time to listen. Spend time praying in the Spirit. Take time to worship the Lord. Read a chapter from His Word. As you continually do this, you’ll live a life full of the Spirit that is more wonderful than you have imagined. In fact it is “superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20 AMP)
