Today’s Scripture 🍞
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV)

Today’s Devotional 📖
Good Morning,
Something good is going to happen to you today! Today’s newsletter is filled to overflowing with content to help you start your day with faith and encouragement!
On June 1st, we began reading through the Book of Isaiah in our Faith+ Reading Plan. If you have fallen behind or never started, I want to encourage you start today and join us on our journey through the Book of Isaiah.
As I mentioned as we started our journey, some ancient scholars refer to the Book of Isaiah as the “fifth evangelist or gospel” because of its clear prophetic depictions of the coming Messiah. There are 66 books of the Bible and there are 66 chapters of the Book of Isaiah. In reading a chapter a day, it will take us June, July, and the beginning of August to complete our read through of this book. Isaiah’s prophetic ministry spanned the reign of 5 kings and the words the Spirit of God spoke through Him will minister to you as you read through this book this Summer.

What’s In Your Closet?
Did you know what’s in your closet could impact your faith? I’m not talking about the closet of your residence. I’m referring to the closet of your soul. When we clean out the closets of our soul, we can better align our faith with God’s plan for our lives. In the Spring, people often spend time “spring cleaning” and going through their closets. Today, it’s time for some delayed spring cleaning of your soul.
In today’s podcast, I tackle some of the things that are hiding in our closets that have to be dealt with. You can stream today’s podcast on YouTube, Apple Podcast or Spotify to learn more. The hidden things in the closets can hinder our faith and get in the way of us fulfilling the plan of God for our lives.
We have to pray prayers and set our faith in the direction of the will of God for our lives. We have to set goals in the direction of the plan of God for our lives. As Tim Storey shared in our Faith in the Morning interview, we have to live in alignment to our assignment.
The hidden things in the closet will misdirect us and cause us not to live in alignment to our assignment. As today’s Scripture teaches us, when we pray according to God’s will, we know that He hears us and will grant us our request. This type of prayer breeds a supernatural confidence in our lives.
This confidence allows us to move forward in the plan of God. This confidence allows us to rest, not get bent out of shape, and keeps us from suffering burnout. Resting is necessary. It’s part of God’s plan for our lives.
Speaking of rest, pre-orders for my new book, The Rhythm of Rest are now available. If you pre-order through the Faith Christian Center website, profits will go towards the building of the next phase of Faith Park. Pre-order your copy today and help us go forward in the vision God has given us. Entering into the rhythm of rest for your life is crucial to fulfilling God’s plan for your life.
After hearing me speak on the Rhythm of Rest, I sat down and had a wonderful conversation with Pastor George Pearsons. He heavily encouraged me to write the book I described above. As I wrote the book and have discussed the topic with many people, I have learned about different things that rob people of their rest. Some of those things are hiding in the “closets” of people’s souls. I’ve been sharing quick takeaways about rest in reels on social media. In these reels, I share how rest is important and why your mentality has to change concerning rest. As I have shared more on this topic and engaged in conversations with others concerning it, the importance of this message has grown even more in my heart.
In today’s podcast, I share how unforgiveness, doubts, and misaligned motives can hide in our "closets" and hinder our faith. It's crucial to regularly inventory our souls and address these issues. These issues will rob you of rest and keep you from enjoying the life God has for you.
You can stream today’s podcast on YouTube, Apple Podcast or Spotify to learn how to deal with these issues. Don’t forget to vote in today’s poll and check out all of the resources below. Have a great day!
