Check Your Fuel

What "Fuel" Is Motivating You

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Good Morning,

What motivates you? What is the fuel that keeps you going? Our vehicles require different fuel to travel to their destination. At the gas station, we are used to seeing three to four types of fuel. There are actually several types of fuel out there. However, not every fuel out there is good for our cars. Some types of fuel could leave our cars broken-down on the side of the road.

In the same way that every fuel is not good for your car, not every fuel is good for your soul and your life. Fear is a fuel people choose to stay motivated. Because they are afraid of a certain outcome, they work hard and push through resistance. While I admire their work ethic, I know that the fear of fuel will damage them internally and set them up to lose everything they’ve gained. As 1st John 4:18 shares, fear brings torment. You do not want to operate by this fuel!

You can achieve far greater results when you allow love to be your fuel. Believing God loves you extravagantly, choosing to love others as Jesus loves you, and allowing the love of God to radically transform your life will enable you to achieve results that are better than you have imagined or dreamed.

God has wonderful plans for your life because He loves you. Pursue His plans for your life with love being your fuel. You’ll be glad that you did! The love of God is a highly efficient fuel that will enable you to go the distance! At Faith Christian Center, we are beginning our 8 Days of Prayer & Fasting on November 1st. I want to invite you to be a part of it. We are asking everyone to replace a meal (or a tv show or social media) with extended time in God’s Word while we pray over the 5 prayer topics below:

  1. For you to know and understand God’s plan for you in 2025

  2. For an outpouring of the Spirit and a great door of utterance for The Imagine Conference

  3. For peaceful elections, transitions into the office,  and for those elected to yield to plan of God for their area

  4. For revelation of your part in the Year Of Light Giving Sunday Offering

  5. At the end of your scheduled prayer time, listen for what God speaks to your heart and then pray about what He shared with you.

Today’s Prayer 🙏

Pray this prayer with me today, “Father, I believe you love me extravagantly. You are Love. You proved your love for me by sending Jesus, the Son of Love. You have poured your love on the inside of my heart by the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Love, who lives on the inside of me. Help me to become rooted and established in your love for me and love others as you love me. I resist fear and refuse to allow it to call the shots in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Have a great day!
