This is going to be a great week for you. It’s the last day of Summer and we are walking into a Fall full of favor. God’s favor is at work in your life.
In Psalm 30:5, the Psalmist declares that God’s favor lasts a lifetime. In verse seven, he adds that God’s favor made him as secure as a mountain. In Numbers 6, God told the priests to speak a certain blessing over His people. Part of the blessing was a declaration of favor which said, “The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you.” (Numbers 6:25) To be gracious means to show favor.
I have a question for you. If every time the people gathered they heard that God wanted to show them favor, do you think they would have built an expectation of favor? I believe so. God wanted them to live with an expectation of favor. He wants you to live with it too!
As we go into the Fall, stay conscious of God’s fixed steps for your life. Don’t be afraid to step out and do what God is telling you to do. They are steps filled with favor.
