Becoming Vision Minded

You have to become vision minded because God has a new season for you and He is bringing opportunities your way! Read today's newsletter to find out more and start your day with faith and encouragement.

So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.

Today’s Devotional 📖

Good Morning,

God has a new season for you! As Daniel declared in his prayer of praise in Daniel 2, God changes the times and the seasons. Over the last two months at Faith Christian Center, I have been sharing about the new season we have entered. This is not a new season that begins on January 1st. It’s already begun and God has wonderful plans for you!

In this new season, you need to take advantage of the opportunities God brings your way. People miss opportunities because they are looking the wrong way. People often discuss the troublesome times that we see all around us. Instead of looking for divine opportunities, they are consumed with the drama of the times. Even though we live in troublesome times, notice what Ephesians 5 tells us to do. The Scripture says, “Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.” (Ephesians 5:16-17)

We are not to live thoughtlessly. We are to understand what God wants us to do. There is a general understanding of what God wants from all Christians. We see that general understanding in His Word. In addition, God has specific things that He wants you to do.

We need to understand the general and the specific. When we become vision minded, allowing our mind to be filled with God’s plan for our lives, we take another step forward in understanding what God wants us to do specifically. As Proverbs teaches, a person of understanding grows in understanding.

Today, take time to think about God’s plan for your life. Pray the Ephesians 1 prayer and take time to listen to what God says to your heart. Prayer is not complete until you take time to listen.

In today’s podcast devotional, I share more about this topic and pray a special prayer over you. Stream today’s devotional on YouTube, Apple Podcast, or Spotify and share it with someone who needs to be encouraged.
