As Christians, we are not supposed to throw away our confidence. We are to embrace it and employ it to get supernatural results. However, sometimes we throw away our confidence and curse our day.

Today, I make myself available for God to show His goodness to others through me. Today, I am increasing in influence. Today, I will see the goodness of God in my life! Today, something good is going to happen to me so I expect miracles.

Good Morning,
Happy Wednesday! Today, we are beginning our read through of the Book of Jeremiah in our Faith+ Reading Plan. I encourage you to read a chapter a day with me. If you ever need a reminder of what chapter we are reading through, you can find it at the bottom of the newsletter.
Hebrews 10:35 (NKJV) says, “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.” As I began to share in June, we are supposed to live this Christian life with confidence. The confidence of the Christian produces great rewards.
As we covered, this isn’t just any confidence. This is a supernatural confidence rooted in a relationship with God and an understanding of His grace and mercy. The confidence described here can be defined as boldness in action and speech. We should speak boldly and positively about our day because we know our God, His character, His grace, and His mercy.
If the Bible has to tell us not to do something, then it is something we may naturally do or be tempted to do. This Scripture clearly tells us not to throw away our confidence. Have you thrown away yours?
Many times in life, we throw away our confidence and curse our day instead. I don’t mean you are cussing, I mean you are speaking bad things about yourself, your life, and your day. Remember, to bless means to speak well of. To curse means to speak evil of.
What are you saying about yourself and your day? Think about it this way. What if everything you said about yourself and your day came to pass? Are there things you would stop saying? Our level of confidence is revealed by the words of our mouth. As we will share tomorrow, you can build your confidence by continually speaking the promises of God.
Today, don’t throw away your confidence. Speak well of yourself, your spouse, your kids, your job, your boss, your day, and everything that concerns you. Don’t curse your day. Don’t speak bad things about your day. Speak God’s promises because today is the day the Lord has made and something good is going to happen to you today!
