We live in a fast paced world. Our society and culture rarely encourages us to pause and reflect. The busy-ness of life keeps us going. We pray for things, God moves, we receive answered prayer, and we move on to the next thing. If this is how we live, we will become accidentally ungrateful because we never paused to say, “Thank you.”

It’s not a heart issue. It’s an issue of how we live. When you live in the rhythm of rest, you can regularly set up times to reflect on what God has done and is doing. When you do that, you can express your gratitude for all He has done. Embrace the power of the pause and take time today to think about what God has done and is doing in your life. Thank Him for all the goodness, mercy, and faithfulness He has showed you. He deserves it!
