Happy Thursday!
As we continue our special time of prayer this week, I want to encourage you to come to your place of prayer with boldness and expectation. Just as the prophet in Habakkuk 2:1 took his place in prayer, I want you to take your place! Hebrews 4:16 reminds us to “come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Ephesians 2 shares that our place is at the right hand of God with Christ Jesus! Understanding our place of prayer should shift our perspective of prayer and life in general. I love how Colossians 3:1-3 (MSG) puts it. It says, “So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.”
See things from His perspective! Wow! How are you seeing life right now? How are you seeing the challenges you’re facing? Christ’s perspective is one of victory. In today’s podcast devotional, I share more about adopting this perspective. Stream it and share it with others. Here are the prayer points we are praying over this week:
The Five Prayer Points
The Election - For the elected candidates to yield to the plan of God
The Plan & Path - "Lord, what is your plan for my family and I for 2027? What goals should I set for the year?"
The Key Issue - "What is the key issue where I am concerned? What is the main thing I need to change, focus on, or correct in 2027?"
