The Merry Heart

2025 is your year to thrive! Your ability to thrive is connected to the condition of your heart. How is your heart? Read today's newsletter to start your day with faith and encouragement.

The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, 15 To declare that the LORD is upright; [He is] my rock, and [there is] no unrighteousness in Him.

Psalm 92:12-15 (NKJV)

Today’s Devotional 📖

Good Morning,

Today, we are completing our read through of Proverbs and Psalms 1-31. Tomorrow, February 1st, I want you to join me in reading through the Book of Matthew and Psalms 32- 59. As always, I’ll keep a reminder at the bottom of the newsletter.

2025 is your year to thrive. To thrive means to flourish, prosper, advance, make steady progress, blossom, and grow and develop vigorously. If we want to thrive in 2025, we have to learn to prosper from the inside out. The condition of your heart directly impacts the quality of your life.

Proverbs 4:23 (NLT) says, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

Proverbs 15:13-15 (AMPC) says, “A glad heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken. The mind of him who has understanding seeks knowledge and inquires after and craves it, but the mouth of the [self-confident] fool feeds on folly. All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].”

Our heart is vitally important. It determines the course of our life. A glad heart, or a merry heart, can cause us to have a positive outlook on life and continually feast regardless of outside circumstances. Think about how powerful that is! I want to share more about this with you in today’s podcast. You can stream today’s podcast on YouTube, Apple Podcast or Spotify.

I’m praying for you. In February, we are focusing on our hearts so that we can hear from God better, experience Psalm 91 protection, and prosper from the inside out. I’m excited to share with you what God has put on my heart for you! Have an amazing weekend!

Today’s Prayer 🙏

Pray this prayer with me today, “Father, I believe you love me extravagantly and you have great plans for my life. I pray that you will help me ponder the path of my feet. Grant me wisdom for all the decisions I have to make today. Show me the adjustments that I need to make. Help me to guard my heart and have a soft heart before you. Thank you for leading me and guiding me. I will thrive in 2025! In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Something good is going to happen to you today. Keep moving forward! Want more encouragement? Check the links below and share them with others. Have a great day!
