The New You Is Waiting!

Good Morning!

I hope you are enjoying your reading through the Book of Acts this month. I was talking with a member of the Faith family and they were sharing with me how much reading through the Book of Acts this month is impacting their life. They pointed out all of the wonderful things God was using Peter to do.

Think about this: Peter was a businessman (fisherman) by trade. The Gospels record his learning process, his successes, and failures as he followed Jesus. Did you ever notice how Jesus’ confidence never wavered in Peter despite all of the ups and downs of his learning process?

After the Ascension, before the day of Pentecost, we see Peter leading the Believers. However, on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit empowered Peter and he stepped into a new phase of his life. This was not Peter the fisherman. This was not the Peter that denied Jesus. This was not the old Peter. It was the new Peter. Peter empowered by the Holy Spirit.

The new you is waiting. At the top of the year, many proclaim the popular, “New year, new me” phrase. However, by now, the excitement wears off and reality settles in. Guess what? You don’t have to settle for the old you. Today, you can step into a new day with all the excitement of a new year. How? By allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you and guide you today.

The new you is waiting. As I close today’s email, please say this, “Good Morning, Holy Spirit. I am open to Your leading and guiding today. Thank You for empowering me. Help me to walk in the newness and freshness You have for me today. I will not rely on my past, but I will rely on You.”

Thank you for starting your day with Faith in the Morning. We love you and are praying for you. Have a miraculous day!
