God Has Not Forgotten!
So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
1st Corinthians 15:58 (NLT)
Good Morning!
Wow, it is the end of April already. As we go into a new month, follow our Faith+ Bible Reading Plan where we read one chapter of the Bible per day. In May, we will read through the Books of Romans, Hebrews, and Haggai. Tomorrow, follow along with the Faith+ Bible Reading Plan by starting the month by reading Romans chapter one. In every newsletter, you’ll find a reminder of what chapter to read. This reminder is located at the bottom of the email.
In today’s podcast devotional, I continue to share from Hebrews 6:10-12. Sometimes, after we have followed God’s path for our lives, we can fall in a rut concerning our diligence, enthusiasm, and our faith. We may even wonder if God has forgotten us, our work for Him, or different areas in our lives.
1st Corinthians 15:58 reminds us that nothing we do for God is useless. In the AMP, the verse says, “Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].”
What you do for God is not wasted and in today’s podcast devotional I prove that it is not forgotten either. Don’t allow your emotions, ungodly critics, or the lies of the enemy to convince you that you don’t matter, that you are not called, and what you do is of little significance.
The Creator of the Universe has called you and created a plan for your life. You matter to the plan of God. As I shared a couple of weeks ago, you are a piece of God’s puzzle for His plan for these days. Keep moving forward in the plan of God for your life. One day, you’ll look back and be glad that you didn’t quit, give in, or give up. Your future is brighter than you have ever imagined.
Let’s pray the Colossians 1 prayer together today. Pray this prayer with me, “Father, I pray that you will fill me with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; so that I might walk worthy of you, Lord, unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of you, strengthened with all might, according to your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy. Father, I give you thanks for enabling me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light: you have delivered me from the power of darkness, and have translated me into the kingdom of Your dear Son: In Jesus I have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins. I thank you for these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
