When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 In response Jesus said to it, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." The fig tree which You cursed has withered away." 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. 23 "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive [them], and you will have [them].

Faith In The Morning Daily Affirmation 🌅

I am the salt of the earth. I am the light of this world. Jesus said it so I believe it. I am a carrier of the Glory of God. Today, I will experience the extreme goodness of God. Today, I make myself available for God to show His goodness to others through me.  Today, I am increasing in influence. Today, I will see the goodness of God in my life! Today, something good is going to happen to me so I expect miracles.

Good Morning,

Happy Good Friday! As we journeyed through Mark 11 this week, I have repeatedly emphasized how the fig tree dried up from the roots. When Jesus spoke the Father’s words to the fig tree, it seemed like nothing happened at all. However, that didn’t move Jesus.

Where did the words of Jesus go? To the root of the fig tree. Remember, the fig tree dried up from the roots. Often times, we get consumed with the fruit of the problem and never address the root. Too often people “religiousize” the contrary situation and say that it is their cross to bear. My friend, that is wrong! It is not your cross to bear!

We are not supposed to carry Jesus’ cross! We are not bear anything that He carried for us. We are to resist whatever He carried for us. He carried our sin, so we resist sin. On the Cross, He carried the Curse so we resist the Curse. He carried our sickness and disease so we resist that as well.

Do not be discouraged when it seems like your faith isn’t working. When you are speaking God’s Word to a situation, those words are going to the root of the problem. Don’t be moved just because it seems like nothing has happened yet. The words and your faith are dealing with the root issues. Keep resisting. Do not make it your cross to bear. Remember, this is Good Friday and He carried the Cross for you! Why? Because He loves you!
