Can You See Yourself This Way?

A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.

John 10:10 MSG

Michigan Family! I will be at Discount Bible this Saturday for a Meet and Greet Book Signing. If you are in the Metro Detroit area, I would love to see you there!

Good Morning!

God wants you to have a wonderful life! To experience the life God has for us, we have to learn how to pair our faith with our imagination. On Sunday, I shared different things that the Scriptures tell us that we are supposed to imagine. (To listen to Sunday’s message, click here.) Recently, I discovered a powerful quote from Walt Disney. He said, “Worry is a waste of imagination.”

When I read that quote, it went off in my heart. It is such a true statement. When we worry, we begin to imagine horrible outcomes. Instead of imagining horrible outcomes, we should imagine positive outcomes. When we think of our lives, we need to imagine our lives lining up with Paul’s instructions in Philippians 4:8. Philippians 4:8 tells us what we should think on and it shows us how we should imagine our lives.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.

Philippians 4:8 NKJV

Imagine your life in line with Philippians 4:8. Imagine your life in a way that lines up with the truth of God’s word. Imagine your actions always being noble. Imagine living just, pure, and lovely. Imagine your life lining up to every good report of the Word. Imagine living a life that is full of virtue — a life that when you stand before God, He says “Well done.”

See yourself living the Philippians 4:8 life. God wants you to have a wonderful life. Imagining the life God wants for you is an important step to experiencing the life He has for you.
