Ephesians 2:10 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)
For we are God's own handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.The Greek Word for handiwork, workmanship, and masterpiece is where we get our word “poem.” This Greek word always depicts someone putting forth his fullest creative abilities to achieve something.
You are not an afterthought with God. You are His handiwork - His master piece. You have been recreated in Christ Jesus. He used his fullest creative abilities when He made you and recreated you.
You are custom made. You have a designer. You have a purpose.
Since all of this is true, you must live with intention and live on purpose.
There are good works that have been planned for you to accomplish. Things that you are destined to do. There is destiny in your design.
Psa 139:13-18 (NKJV)
For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And [that] my soul knows very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, [And] skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When [as yet there were] none of them. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! 18 [If] I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.
Psalm 193:14 (NLT)
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
Does your soul know it?
Verse 16
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all writtenThe days that were appointed for me,When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].
2Ti 1:5-7 (NKJV)
when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. 6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Power - The word “power” used in Second Timothy 1:7 is from the Greek word dunamis. It means dynamite or power, but it’s so much more than that. The word dunamis is used to describe a force of nature — like a hurricane, a tornado, or an earthquake. It is also the very same Greek word that was used to describe the full might of the advancing Roman army — which means that when the power of God is operating in you, you become like a force of nature!
2 Timothy 3:1 (NKJV) But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
